Staff building bikes at our 2022 Annual Frame-Up Competition

Summary for all positions:

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the bicycle as a sustainable, equitable, and healthy form of transportation.

Bicycle mechanical knowledge is not required but is desired. All new staff receive bicycle mechanics training.

The ability to teach in a patient, compassionate, and hands-off manner is necessary.

BICAS is collectively-run, and employees are required to participate in non-profit administration roles like HR, finance and bookkeeping, fundraising, and outreach.

BICAS staff frequently work with youth, houseless, refugee, immigrant, and low-income populations. Experience working with these populations in any capacity is a plus, as is being multilingual. We encourage those who can work our WTF (Women, Transgender, Femme) workshop to apply.

Some evening and weekend availability is required.

*Please note that BICAS has been operating as an Essential Service Provider during the pandemic. As such, all open positions require in-person work. Appropriate COVID-19 precautions are required, including masking.

*COVID-19 Pandemic Operations Addendum for all positions*
